Tough Service

Hey everyone. I hope everyone is doing alright. Today was yet another crazy busy day at the service mission in the slc. I've been learning a lot about mac computers and how they work. They are a lot different than pcs that's for sure. It has taking me a bit of time to get used to them and all of their programs like editing and all that jazz. It's pretty interesting how advanced we really are in technology and what hard work goes into all the Mormon Messages and LDS videos. It's kinda cool to see the behind the scene of the LDS church and how cool it is. The Temple grounds are absolutely beautiful, along with the church office building. It's just a great feeling to have around that place. I always feel so dizzy and tired after work that I just don't feel like doing anything when I get home. It takes a lot out of you which has surprised me that editing video and audio could do that to ya.

On other news I still can't wait for football and basketball to start so I can have something to look forward to when I get home. I'm sorry but baseball and so you think you can dance just doesn't cut it for me. I want to see the d will and al jefferson combo and raja tackling kobe and everything else that comes with the jazz season. Well patients always pays off so hopefully we win a championship this season...haha probably not oh well. Well I'll post something for you guys later have a great night!

Elder Hanson

First Day of Mission

So today was my first day at my mission! It was pretty interesting I must say. When I got their at the Metro building they really didn't know what to do with me because Neither of the head two guys were there but were on vacation. So they just had me sit down at computer desks for a little while until Elder Hinkson and Christopher Peck got there to get me started. So basically I felt really useless for awhile if not the whole day. However, brother peck and I finally went down to the church office building to get my temporary church id and pass and also got a temporary parking pass to a parking garage next to the metro building.

Elder Peck, I found out, was really famous there at the metro building and was called elder roberto because he got so many projects done that the church employees couldn't believe it! He was really nice and me and him got a long quite a bit. We talked about cars for awhile and also about a little background on each other. Elder Hinkson was pretty nice as well and found out that he is from hooper and is talented with computers.

Overall, it was a pretty neat day and I learned how to transcode files from proxy to transcoded making the resolution sharper and then being able to edit the video and change the coloring. Pretty cool! Well I'll keep posting about my mission and other topics. Have a great monday!

Elder Hanson

Life is crazy!

Hey I just wanted to update you guys on my life. I'm going to be starting my service mission tomorrow on the 26th for the audio and visual department of the lds church. I will be doing that for a year so that's pretty exciting i suppose. I'll finally be able to put on that cool badge again!

On other news I'm excited that football will be starting again which means devastating loses by utah state and killer wins by the patriots! haha hopefully utah state can get 6 wins this year and be at least bowl eligible but i guess we will see! The jazz don't start till october so I've gotta few months to wait for the d will take over without my boi kk and the new aquirment of al jefferson and raja bell but i'll be patient i guess...

My social life is kinda crazy. It kinda went downhill for a second but i've got some new friends again like laura and mandy that i've started talking to. I love that my friends will be back in a year and my friend kc gets back from italy in november so i'll be able to chill fa real with him again soon! Maybe in a year I'll have a serious girlfriend or at least be dating a few people to be looking for a long term relationship as college goes on once starting again next year's fall. But I guess we'll see.
